They’re back this time with an American accent. Following a long hiatus Amah-Rose returns with New York based author Kyle Smith reading from his first novel ’85A’. This coming of age book, set in Chicago in the late 1970s to a background of a search for somewhere to belong and a punk rock soundtrack. Kyle Smith reads really well, a great listen to someone bringing their work to life.

Restless soul and multi-talent Joshua Idehen works in many different media and with a host of different collaborators including Dan le Sac and LV. He founded the poetry collective Poem in Between People, hosts the Time Out Critics Choice night Poejazzi and fronts 2 bands Benin City and the Pencil Stringhorn Project.

Carrie and Amah-Rose have coffee with Niall O’Sullivan, stalwart of the London poetry, on Day 18 of his Sonnet Hack challenge. They chat about Niall’s longest running open mic night at The Poetry Cafe, Poetry Unplugged, writing poems for Wimbledon, being mobbed reading them live from Henman Hill and his fascination with paleoanthropolgy.
