The Golden Form, Vol. 5

In January’s episode of The Golden Form we are celebrating winter. In an attempt to lift the January Blues we are playing music by Debussy, Glass, Purcell and Schubert;
and we are joined by the actor Richard Crawley who will be reading some great wintery poems by Robert Frost, Margaret Atwood, Charles Simic, Wallace Stevens and Thomas Hardy.

The Golden Form – Christmas Special Pt. II

In our second Christmas Special, The Golden Form’s Richard Scott is are joined by Jonathan Bunney, director of music at St. Giles in the Fields, to discuss his favourite Christmas Carols and the actress Julia Sandiford reads T.S.Eliot’s poem ‘Journey of the Magi’ alongside an excerpt from Britten’s fourth Canticle for three male voices, based on the poem. And we end the show with a chorus of shepards and the angels from Handel’s Messiah.

The Golden Form, Vol. 2

The Golden Form is a brand new classical music show hosted by Richard Scott, which examines the lives and experiences of classical musicians in London. Every month it will feature a mix of live guests, reviews and some of the most beautiful classical music, opera and film scores ever written.

In the second episode of the Golden Form, Richard talks to Saxophonist Jim Slade about swapping London for Denmark and his band Deathray Trebuchay. We also speak to Paul Featherstone and Kelvin Lim from Opera Up Close’s production of Pagliacci at The Kings Head pub in Islington and we play music written for Easter by Arvo Part and J.S. Bach.
