The Swell Brothers, Bruno and Andy, are related by music rather than biology, and have been DJing together since they started their funk and soul night Swell down local Hackney boozer The Dolphin back in 2004. Funk and soul isn’t their only bag though and they’ll be dropping in once a month or so to explore a different musical genre and to talk quite a lot of rubbish.
Tune in this time to hear some top quality funk.
The Swell Bros, DJs Bruno and Andy (related by music rather than biology), have been blamed by old school locals for ruining The Dolphin; turning it from sleepy lock-in boozer to a late night destination for the likes of Kimberley Stewart, with their funk and soul night ‘Swell’ back in 2004. Please forgive them their sins though and focus instead on the excellent quality of tunes they’ll be playing when they drop in once a month to explore a different music genre and talk quite a lot of rubbish.

The Swell Brothers, Bruno and Andy, play some indie songs from the late 80s and early 90s, as well as covering some of the major issues of the day, including what exactly “home run” means, and how many cars a family has to have to qualify as middle class.
