In this episode Edward Drummond meets Tom Baker founder of Eat Your Own Ears, who promote music from across a spectrum of genres. Eat Your Own Ears programme unexpected but complementary line ups with the hope of bringing together different groups of music fans, creating new audiences and delivering inspiring music to all. EYOE put on the first London shows for Animal Collective, Bloc Party, Battles, Franz Ferdinand and many other Mercury nominated acts.

More recently Tom founded Field Day and the Underage Festival, which take place over one weekend in Victoria Park in London’s East End, bringing an eclectic mix of artists to over 30,000 people.

In episode 3 we meet Eddy Frankel who started the Dream Beach imprint on Moshi Moshi. He talks about some of the problems he faces in order to sign the artists and put their music out and introduces a few of his current favourites. Eddy is also the lead singer and guitarist with Fair Ohs who will be releasing their debut album in June.

In Volume 2, we meet Stars Redmond founder and director of Sweet Group. Stars Redmond began working in the music industry through doing work experience at Traffic – a music marketing company, who hired her full-time to set up the social media marketing side of the company. Since then she has worked at Island as well as freelance looking after various label’s artist portfolio’s online.

She recently set up the Sweet Group as an artist management company so that she can have a hand working on all aspects of an artist’s image and sound.

Behind The Music is a new show for London Fields Radio in which Edward Drummond speaks with people who work in the music industry, exploring their roles and finding out just how they got the job that everybody envies.

In the first show Edward speaks to Marsha Shandur. Marsha was a presenter at Xfm for seven years and has worked in A&R and as a music supervisor on TV shows.
