Ric’s Welsh Pop Hour, Vol. 2

Ric Rawlins is not Welsh, and neither is he an authority on Welsh pop. So why is he hosting Ric’s Welsh Pop Hour? The Artrocker Reviews Editor says that he is merely paying tribute to a ‘melodic and mysterious world’ – the vast majority of which he can barely pronounce – which transcends nationality with its sheer gift for compelling songcraft. Check in with Ric for a fantastic playlist of ‘60s psychedelia, ‘70s strange-folk, ‘90s indie anthems and contemporary pop.

Aztec Garden, Vol. 1

In a brand new show for London Fields Radio, long time friends and music lovers Rachel and Luke take you for a walk through the Aztec Garden. It’s a trip full of the newest and most exciting music from their favourite acts as well as regular features like ‘Good Cover Version’, ‘Across the Pond’ and ‘Labels and Fables’. Together, these form a very enjoyable bundle of music, which is almost enough to distract from their amateur production, nervous rambling and constant battle to stop saying “enjoy”.

This week, Nick Cave covers Pulp, Frank Ocean travels Across the Pond and we hear some Fables from Oneman’s 502 recordings Label. Plus other music from Tropic of Cancer, Africa Hi-Tech and The 2 Bears.
