Fush and Chups, Vol. 13

London Fields Radio’s resident New Zealanders return with more Kiwis-in-Hackney banter and fresh NZ music to spin. This week Tu flew solo. Phil was busy at work and Alice was a little under the weather. He was however joined by a plethora of guests – old and new. Fush and Chups hired a brand new sports reporter, and found a possible replacement for Carlton Crisp in the form of a furniture-making Australian from Perth. Juddy helped pick up the slack as well as his regular feature, Man Corner. All this and more on this week’s exciting new show. Chups.

Fush and Chups, Vol. 9

London Fields Radio’s resident New Zealanders return with more Kiwis-in-Hackney banter and fresh NZ music to spin.

So the London riots happened this week, all around us shocked little Kiwis. Hear our first hand experiences and out on the street wandering reportage. Also big news – Dean is moving to Bordeaux so this is his last show for a few months, although he will still be phoning in occasionally from his luxurious French vineyard outpost. Carlton Crisp tackled the prickly subject of salt and vinegar chips, and Alice Murray brought in her first ‘Seeeck Chooon’ from Australia. Oh and that Hori Buzz track is ridiculous, if you only listen to one song, make it that one. Although it’s very R18.

Fush and Chups, Vol. 8

London Fields Radio’s resident New Zealanders return with more Kiwis-in-Hackney banter and fresh NZ music to spin.

This week saw a new co-host added to the team – Alice Murray in the house everyone! Nice having a lady on board to say lady things, it was feeling like a bit of a boy’s locker room in past weeks, let’s be honest. We spoke to Yael Gezentsvey, a Kiwi actress heading up to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. All the other usual features reared their heads and we busted out tunes by Band Of Brothers (Hollie Smith & Mara TK), The Adults, Pikachunes and Bombay Bicycle Club.

Fush and Chups, Vol. 6

London Fields Radio’s resident New Zealanders return with more Kiwis-in-Hackney banter and fresh NZ music to spin.

In a huge coup for the show Carlton Crisp, formerly of 95bfm in Auckland, brings his infamous Snack Report to the Fush and Chups show. Crimewatch returned with Dean nearly assaulted in Hackney, we played more old school NZ ads, and we chatted in a loose hungover fashion. NZ tunes from @Peace, Cut Off Your Hands and Tim Richards. Plus other stuff from M83, Grinderman, erm Kenny Rogers, and we dropped the new single by Kanye and Jay Z, ‘Otis’, just ’cause we can. And we said the word ‘coup’ about 150 times.

Fush and Chups, Vol. 5

London Fields Radio’s resident New Zealanders return with more Kiwis-in-Hackney banter and fresh NZ music to spin.

In this week’s episode, Dean reports on his trip to Exit Festival in Serbia, special guest host Tom Martin doesn’t turn up, we deliver some information on the Homelanz Festival, most of their regular features pop up and a couple of classic Kiwi ads even sneak in there.
The music is super varied, with NZ tunes by Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Southside Of Bombay, Chants RnB and Sola Rosa, and global offerings from Amadou & Mariam, Tame Impala and Congolese rapper Baloji.
